Adoption and Rehoming
The very specific health needs and potentially very high cost of owning a dwarf German Shepherd means, that in most cases this is not for the novice dog owner particularly if they are on a limited budget. We have a small list of experienced people in a number of countries willing to give a dwarf a new home. Please contact us in confidence if you have a dwarf dog that you are not able to keep.
Rehoming at the Saartje Foundation
The Saartje Foundation in the Netherlands is close to the University of Utrecht and can at times take dogs by arrangement, but because of the numbers of dwarfs offered, breeders / owners are now asked if they are to be rehomed here for a contribution to the costs before the Saartje Foundation can take them.
For other countries if we are unable to take them ourselves, we will do our best to try and help in rehoming a dwarf, for further information please contact:
European mainland - Tanja Stoetman: [email protected]
or
United Kingdom - Steve Webb: [email protected]
United States - Heather Saunders: [email protected]
